Mail builds up in either the inbound or outbound queue in Symantec Messaging Gateway.

You have mail building up in the Symantec Messaging Gateway. There is a message that states that the message has been deferred. You want to know how to resolve this as mail is building up in the inbound/outbound queue very quickly.

This is being caused by Directory Data Service being unable to function properly when called on. The error message in the dds.log file is indictive of a Directory Data Source that has been configured with an administrator account that either does not have the correct permissions necessary to make the querys within the LDAP source, or it has been given the wrong password.
Disable your Directory Integration sources to allow the mail to flow properly.
Once mailflow has started again, please edit the Directory Integration source and provide it with the necessary account and/or password.
