After changing the password for the application identity user the services would not start. The errors would be consistent that the user name or password was not valid to start the service. Tried running the aexconfig with the /svcid parameter to reset the password but that did not resolve the issue.
In the log viewer we found some errors coinciding with the running of the aexconfig that seemed to point to continued authentication issues.
