Unable to start the Symantec Scan Engine Service, with the following error:
Could not start the Symantec Scan Engine service on local computer.
Error 1069: The service did not start due to a login failure.
One of the reasons for the service failing to start is the account that is used by the service to login may no longer have the correct details. The most likely cause is the password has changed and was not updated under the Scan Engine service.
To check this, open Services from the Control Panel. Right click the Scan Engine service and choose Properties, then Log On. Make sure the correct password has been specified by re-entering the current password.
This can be tested by using the Local System Account to try and start the service.
