An OID must be valid for an SNMP query to return any results on Symantec Messaging Gateway (SMG) appliance

SNMP query returns "No Such Object" error if the OID specified is not valid for the appliance being monitored.
An error similar to the ones shown below may be seen in the SNMP client used to query the SMG appliance:
No Such Object available on this agent at this OID
(noSuchName) There is no such variable name in this MIB
Please make sure that the OID being used in the SNMP query against the SMG appliance is valid for the target appliance role.
For example, OIDs related to the MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) as defined in the "SYMANTEC-EMAIL-SECURITY.txt" MIB (Management Information Base) file are valid only for an appliance with the Scanner role and can not be used in a query against an appliance with the Control Center-Only role.
