Internet email auto-protect SEP component causes RSET SMTP verb to be issued after RCPT TO verb / Symantec Messaging Gateway receive abort messages from a client which has SEP installed along with Internet email auto-protect component

The outbound emails via SMTP are sent twice. The first time the SMTP flow is broken by two RSET commands. The second time the email is sent successfully.
Seen by Symantec Messaging Gateway perspective, it means that the first attempt is seen as abort message and the second is successful.
Internet email auto-protect SEP component installed.
It is a best practice to use a proper SMTP server to send emails, instead of a client.
If for any reason, it is needed to use a SMTP client to send emails, uninstall Internet email auto-protect SEP component.
32-bit client operating system with SEP installed. Internet email auto-protect is installed as well. (Internet email auto-protect SEP component will not be installed on server operating systems or on 64-bit OS)
