Error launching a remote Symantec Control Compliance Suite (CCS) Console

Cannot launch a CCS console on remote client machine from a trusted domain.
UI pop-up error:
Verbose CCS console log reports the following Exception:
Error,PreLaunchActivityProvider,SymConsole,4984,,1,GetAddrInfo,,0,1,"PreLaunchActivity.CheckApplicationServerVersion: System.ServiceModel.EndpointNotFoundException: No DNS entries exist for host %AppServer%. ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No such host is known
at System.Net.Dns.GetAddrInfo(String name)
at System.Net.Dns.InternalGetHostByName(String hostName, Boolean includeIPv6)
at System.Net.Dns.GetHostEntry(String hostNameOrAddress)
at System.ServiceModel.Channels.DnsCache.Resolve(String hostName)
Client computer cannot find a DNS entry for the CCS Application Server by hostname only (not FQDN).
Append DNS suffix from CCS Application Server domain to client TCP/IP setttings.
