Windows 7 users attempting to send a single email may result in the email hanging in the Outlook 2007 Outbox and may send multiple copies of the email to the recipient.
This issue is extremely rare, and has not been duplicated in-house.
The issue may go away on its own if the Outlook .pst size is reduced to less than 2GBs. When this issue has been observed, the .pst files were between 5GBs and 7GBs with Outlook 2007 using POP3 and PGP Desktop 10.1.2.
Archiving email off to separate .pst files may resolve this issue, which would in turn shrink the size of the .pst file.
In environments where .pst file sizes grow to these large sizes, this issue may be more prevalent, albeit very rare and intermittent in nature. It may also be caused to more variables than large .pst files, so the likelihood of experiencing this issue is low.
Stopping PGP Services on the system resolves the issue and email message are not duplicated at this point. The issue appears to be very intermittent and PGP Desktop log files show a single email from a user is duplicated and sent multiple times
