After applying the new licenses, SIM and Solution like Asset still shows that the licenses are expired

The licenses had expired and New licenses were applied but when Checking the SIM the licenses shows as expired.
CMDB,Asset Management Solution throw error while editing the assets
The error message either can be seen in SIM or in case of CMDB and Asset it can also be seen while editing the assets.
The new licenses are not getting applied or not updated and the Database is still has the old license entries.
1.Checked the license file and compare it with the one with installed (it will help if the node count of old and new license are diffrent)
2. Checked the SIM Install Licensed and there the Asset and CMDB sollution licenses were showing as expired. 3. Opened the License Removal tool and remove all the expired licenses. ( x:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\Bin\Tools) even the active license can be removed so that all the licenses are applied again to update the database.
4. Installed the new license file using SIM 5. Restart the altiris server, generally when you close the apply license window it will prompt to restart the services.
