2011-10-30 01:52:21,575 [main] ERROR com.symantec.sim.tools.selectivebackuprestore.Main - Some error occurred while doing Backup operation. The disk space might be full or can not access the folder to create the file.
When a Backup or Restore job is performed, a temporary workspace is created in the /tmp directory for temporary backup files.
The reason for this problem is that the amount of data that is being backed up is to large for the amount of space that is available in the /tmp directory.
Make sure the / partition has sufficient space and is not almost full. This is the partition the /tmp directory resides.
A lot of the data that is being backed up may not need to be backed up. Make sure regular database maintenance is performed, as well as making sure Incidents and/or Tickets are closed once they have been addressed.
Possible reasons the amount of data to be backed up being larger than expected:
Incidents that need to be closed/purged
Tickets that need to be closed/purged
