Gmail uses imap.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com as aliases for a number of different mail servers, so we cannot specify one particular account.
1.Open Outlook and click Tools. 2.In the Tools menu, select Account Settings. 3.Double click on the Gmail account. 4.Click the More Settings and select the Advanced tab. 5.Change the Incoming server (POP3/IMAP) to use port 110. 6.Change the Outgoing (SMTP) to use port 25. 7.Confirm the SSL/TLS field is set to None as PGP uses its own SSL/TLS. 8.Click Next and then click Finish
1.Open PGP Desktop. 2.Select the PGP Messaging Control box. 3.Click your Gmail account messaging service. 4.In the account properties windows,click the Server Settings. 5.For the Incoming Mail Server, click the down arrow to change the Protocol to IMAP or POP depending on the mail settings. 6.Confirm the SSL/TLS field is set to Automatic and change if necessary. 7.In the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) settings, click the radio button to manually specify a port. 8.Type 587 for the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) port. 9.Confirm the SSL/TLS field is set to Automatic and change if necessary. 10.Put * in the Incoming and Outgoing server as Gmail uses imap.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com as aliases for a number of different mail servers. 11.Click OK to update the settings. 12.Restart the email client.
