Creating global vulnerability exceptions in Symantec Control Compliance Suite Vulnerability Manager.
When you define a global vulnerability exception, Symantec Control Compliance Suite Vulnerability Manager will not report the vulnerability against any asset in your network. Follow these steps to configure Global Vulnerability Exceptions:
Click the Vulnerabilities tab on any page of the console interface.
On the Vulnerabilities page, click the Exclude icon next to the vulnerability that you wish to exclude from reports.
Symantec Control Compliance Suite Vulnerability Manager displays the Vulnerability Exception box. If you select a vulnerability for global exclusion on the Vulnerabilities page, the dropdown box for Scope is disabled.
From the Reason dropdown, select your reason for creating the exception. Options include "False Positive," "Compensating Control," "Acceptable Use, "Acceptable Risk, " and "Other." If you select "Other," type the reason in the Additional Comments text field, up to 255 characters.
