If you see a message that it is not able to contact the remote CCS Manager or there is a version difference.

Environment

Resolution

Check the following:

- Verify that the Remote CCS Manager is the same PU (Product Update) and SCU (Security Content Update) version as the Application Server and that the manager's services are up and running.
- Also verify that the correct ports are open and DNS is working.
- Verify that all Load Balancers are able to connect/ping the Remote CCS Manager.

To force CCS to update and recheck please follow the below steps.

  1. Restart the Symantec CCS Application Server Service and verify that the other CCS services are started.
  2. Run the manual sync job. The Application Server periodically synchronizes settings on all registered Data Processing Service hosts. You can also synchronize settings manually if needed.
    • In the Settings > Deployment View, click Infrastructure Tasks > Sync Configuration.
  3. Refresh the Health and Status Information. The scheduled health and status information is posted every 24 hours at midnight. You can manually refresh the Map view at any time to see the latest health information of a component. Do one of the following:
    • In the Settings > Deployment view, on the taskbar, click Infrastructure Tasks > Refresh Health Status.
