LiveUpdate (LU) succeeds in downloading updated content, but cannot install it on the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM).
Manually launching LUALL.exe on the server side, LU downloaded content successfully, but failed to install it on the SEPM.
"LiveUpdate aborted product SESC IPS Signatures Win32 for the following reason (error code 1846).This update was aborted during its post install processing."
After investigation, found the new updating content has been deployed to the "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Inetpub\content" folder.
The timestamp for the update on the Home and Admin pages of the SEPM console has still not changed.
Reinstalling and registering LiveUpdate did not resolve the issue and neither does repairing the SEPM.
After rebooting the system, manually updated the definitions with .JDB file successfully.
