Disable firewall in Windows server 2008 R2 64 bit by setting in SEPM
Last Updated December 05, 2018
Windows firewall is not disabled automatically by Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 12.1, and this blocks communication between SEPM and SEP.When user manually disable Windows firewall, communication between SEP and SEPM returns.
SEP has no green dot at the tray and is showing offline both at SEPM console and SEP client interface.
SEP only disabled Windows firewall one time and when PC restart, Windows firewall is back
This is about setting in SEPM firewall policy.
Log in SEPM,in Policies console
Click Firewall and Edit the policy
In Windows Integration tab, choose Disable Always in Disable Windows Firewall.
