To customize the behavior of Symantec Antivirus for Linux (SAVFL), the ConfigEd.exe tool was used to create a GRC.DAT file which configured SAVFL to scan only files with certain extensions (.SH, .EXE, .HTML, .BAT).
The scheduled scans configured run on time, but the scan completes immediately. Zero files were scanned.
If a manual scan is started by command, SAVFL scans correctly.
Linux is a case-sensitive Operating System, and the files on the computer were all lower case. ConfigEd.exe was initially created for Symantec AntiVirus (SAV) on Windows and the extensions populated in the application are in upper case.
Delete all the default extensions, or do not use any of them. Manually type any extensions you want in the blank and then click Add button.
