After installing the SPSS 6.0.X the SharePoint logs shows errors. See Error section for the errors.

Turn off virus scanning for SharePoint
Uninstall Scan Engine and SPSS connector.
Install Scan Engine and SPSS connector.
Create the missing 'SPSSAdminConsoleMain.en-US.resx' file.
Log into th SharePoint CA to turn on the virus scanning.
Verify the SharePoint logs do not sow the error listed in the 'Error' section of KB.
Turn off virus scanning for SharePoint:
Log into the SharePoint CA.
Click on the 'Security' tab.
Now under the 'General Security' section click on 'Manage antivirus settings'.
Uncheck the box next to:
Scan documents on upload Scan documents on download Attempt to clean infected documents
Save the settings.
Uninstall Scan Engine and SPSS connector:
Click on Control Panel.
Under Programs click on Uninstall a program.
Uninstall the 'Symantec. Protection 6.0 for SharePoint Servers'.
Uninstall the 'Symantec Scan Engine'.
Browse to C:\Program Files\Symantec folder.
If the SharePoint folder is there then delete it.
Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec folder.
If the Scan Engine folder is there then delete it.
Install Scan Engine and SPSS connector:
Verify that Java is installed.
Open a command line prompt. Type in: java -version
Example output: java version "1.6.0_35" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_35-b10) JavaHotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 20.10-b01, mixed mode, sharing)
Note: Java version has to be at least 1.6 32 bit for Scan Engine to install properly.
Install the Scan Engine software first.
Verify that the Scan Engine service started after the install.
Verify that you can log into the UI for Scan Engine.
Open up IE browser.
In the Address line type in:
https://<IP or HostName>:8004
Follow the popup screens. When you get to the popup "Java has discovered application components that could indicate a security concern" say 'No' to that question.
Now login with your password.
Now install the SPSS connector.
Verify that the SPSS service starts up.
Note: Do not open ttheSharePoint CA yet.
Create the missing 'SPSSAdminConsoleMain.en-US.resx' file:
Open a Windows Explore and browse to:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\Resources
Make a copy of the 'SPSSAdminConsoleMain.resx' file.
Now rename the copy file to 'SPSSAdminConsoleMain.en-US.resx'.
