Barcode sync fails to create new assets or update existing ones

Barcode is used to synchronize new assets or changes to exisitng assets to the Symantec Management Platform database. The sync shows that it was successful, however, the assets or their changes do not appear in the Symantec Management Platform Console.
The sync profile's batch jobs need to be approved before the new assets are committed to the database, or, NSEs are filling the queue resulting in slow or failure to process jobs, such as a Barcode sync.
The solution will depend on what the issue is.
Issue: Batch job for the sync profile is waiting for user to approve it. Solution: Approve the batch job or set the sync profile to automatically approve of them.
In a Symantec Management Platform Console, click on Home > Service and Asset Management > Barcode.
Click to open the Synchronization Profiles folder > click on the sync profile used for the new assets sync.
Click on the Permissions tab.
In the Upload Verification section, if "Bypass upload verification" is not enabled, the user must approve every sync batch job. If the user does not want to do this, click to enable this and then click on the "Save changes" button. If this is already set, skip to the next issue and solution.
Click to open the Manage Changes folder > Resource Uploads.
The waiting batch jobs should appear here. Click on the ones to approve and then click on the Accept button. The assets should then be accepted and appear in the resource lists in the Console.
Issue: NSEs are failing to process, resulting in the Event Queue filling up. Solution: If the Symantec Management Server is unable to correctly process NSEs, this will negatively impact Barcode too. This will prevent or greatly delay new assets or changes to existing assets from being applied. This can be especially true if the sync includes changes to asset associations, such as its Location value. To resolve this, correct the NSE issue by following the instructions from TECH183347. Note: As this is a Core issue, please contact the Symantec Management Platform Technical Support team for assistance with resolving any NSE-related issues, as Barcode has no control over this aspect of the Console.
On the Symantec Management Platform Server, open the Altiris Log Viewer.
