"Unexpected server error. ErrorCode: 0x10010000" during login to Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager

You installed Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) with a remote SQL server and configured the database user account (default username sem5) to authenticate with Windows Authentication as a domain user account. When you log on to the SEPM, the reporting component fails with an unexpected server error, and Home, Monitors and Reports are blank.
Unexpected server error. ErrorCode: 0x10010000
The PHP component, php-cgi.exe, cannot access the necessary files in SEPM because the database user account does not have the permission to do so.
To resolve this issue, add the database user account to the Local Administrators group on the computer on which you have installed SEPM. For more information, see the following Microsoft web page:
