 Installation Required Components indicates: ASP.NET Web Extension 2.0 - not installed

 

Resolution

  1. Open the Server Manager
  2. Select "Manage" on the upper right
  3. Select "Add Roles and Features"
  4. Continue to "Server Roles"
  5. Enable:

    Web Server (IIS) >> Web Server >> ASP.NET 3.5
    Web Server (IIS) >> Web Server >> ISAPI Extensions
    Web Server (IIS) >> Web Server >> ISAPI Filters
    Web Server (IIS) >> Web Server >> .NET Extensibility 3.5
    Web Server (IIS) >> Web Server >> ASP.NET
    Management Tools >> (All)
     
  6. Continue through to install the roles
  7. Restart the installation of Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange 7.x
