SWG keeps previous VLAN configuration after it is changed from Inline to Tap mode

Symantec Web Gateway (SWG) keeps previous VLAN configuration after Operating Mode is changed from Inline to Tap mode. When the Operating Mode change becomes effective, end users may notice their client browsers no longer receive blocking pages from SWG appliance.
Symantec Web Gateway does not support VLAN configuration in Tap/Span mode.
SWG keeps previous VLAN configuration after the Operating Mode is changed from Inline to Tap mode. VLAN configuration is not supported in Tap/Span mode.
To ensure that client browsers will continue to receive blocking pages when switching mode from Inline to Span/Tap mode, remove all VLAN configurations before changing the Operating Mode.
If you changed Operating Mode to Span/Tap and client browsers are not receiving blocking pages, do the following:
Revert Operating Mode to Inline.
Remove all VLAN configurations from the Network tab, being sure to record them in administrative notes or journals.
Change Operating Mode to Span/Tap.
Test to ensure that client browsers now receive blocking page.
