Since you cannot modify default policies, Symantec recommends that you create a copy of the default policy, and then make any necessary modifications.
To create and apply non-default, custom antivirus policies
- Log in to the SEP SBE cloud management console.
- Click the Policies tab.
- In the left pane, under Services, click Endpoint Protection.
- In the right-pane, click Default System Policy.
- At the top of the page you will see a warning indicating that this default policy is not editable. Click Save a Copy.
- Change the name of the policy, and make any necessary changes to the policy settings.
- Under Groups, select any groups to which you want to apply the new policy.
- Click Save & Apply.
