In the Activity Center (AC), when viewing a Software Product in Software Catalog in the pop-up window.
On the "Identify inventory" tab, only installed components associated with the product are associated are listed whereas on the "Meter / track usage" tab, all components with the product are listed.
Open a Software Product in either of two ways:
1. Manage > Software 2. Select Software Products under Deliverable Software 3. Double click any of the software products.
1. Manage > Software Catalog 2. Double click on any of the Managed software products.
When the "Software Product" window opens notice that the "Identify inventory" tab and the "Meter / track usage" tab do not show the same software components.
Modifying the filter criteria on the "Identify inventory" tab does not always modify what shows up on the "Meter / track usage" tab.

From ETrack 3516970:
The numbers on these tabs are not directly corresponding to each other.
1. Identify inventory tab: a. Shows the NON-Hidden components that inventoried on clients that associated with this product, and matches with search pattern. b. “Installs” column shows the number of clients where corresponding component are found. c. As there are more than one component may be installed on client, then the sum from “Installs” may not corresponds to “number of used licenses” on “Software Product license and usage” flipbook. 2. Meter / track usage tab: a. Shows All components (independently of “hidden” key) that inventoried on clients that associated with this product. b. Additionally shows all manually imported components that associated with this product. c. Additionally it shows manually created associations of product with components. 3. “Software Product license and usage” flipbook a. Shows the number of clients where any of component, listed on “Meter /Track usage tab”, installed.
