When migrating Symantec Management Platform 7.1 to 7.5, Asset does not appear selectable

When using the Data Migration Wizard to migrate Symantec Management Platform 7.1 to 7.5, Asset does not appear selectable in the product list to migrate.
This is working as designed. The Data Migration Wizard is not designed to migrate data from 7.1 to 7.5. This only migrates 32-bit older versions of Altiris to 7.5, specifically, 6.0 to 7.5 or 7.0 to 7.5. Therefore, no products will be selectable on the product list, including Asset Management.
On the Symantec Management Platform 7.1 server, perform an on-box upgrade to 7.5 (recommended process to upgrade to 7.5, or if possible, create a new database instead).
If there is a new server that is expected to become the 7.5 server, an "off-box" upgrade can be performed:
a. Install Symantec Management Platform 7.5 on that server. b. Install exactly the same solutions in Symantec Installation Manager as in the old server in step 1. c. During the installation, point the database name to the upgraded database in step 1. d. Agents (etc.) will need to be pointed to the new server otherwise they will continue to check into the old server. (This article does not further discuss converting one server to another as its scope is to explain how to upgrade the database. Refer to the Symantec Management Platform Implementation Guide and Symantec KB for more information on how to move one server to another.)
