Certain environments have legal requirements regarding retaining logs for review. In these cases the length of time which the Hosted Endpoint Manager retains logs becomes a significant consideration when deciding to implement Symantec Endpoint Protection SBE Hosted .Cloud.
The Hosted Endpoint Manager retains all logs reported by clients for exactly 1 year.
To access the logs:
Log in to the Hosted Endpoint Manager at https://hostedendpoint.spn.com.
Navigate to the Clients tab.
Click on the name for the client you would like to access.
This will bring up the Computer Profile page for that client, click on the history tab.
By default this will open all log events on that client in the last week.
The time duration can be extended back to 1 year by clicking "all" under the time section in the left navigation pane, also events can sorted by severity or services (in cases where multiple technologies are managed by the Hosted Endpoint Manager). The length of logs displayed is noted at the top of the history section.
