Issue/Introduction

After you install Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) for Mac and then click Close & Restart to finish the installation, you notice that after the restart, the Symantec Endpoint Protection client for Mac installer reopens automatically.

Cause

 This behavior can occur if you previously checked "Reopen windows when logging back in" during a previous shutdown or restart of the Mac.

 

Resolution

 If the Symantec Endpoint Protection for Mac installer opens again unexpectedly after you restart, click Cancel.
