Errors or failures when installing or activating agents

When installing or activating agents for Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition (SEP SBE) Cloud, you experience one of the following symptoms:
Agent download failures
Definition download failures
Portal status update failures
The following error may occur when the agent fails to install.
Internet connection required, please connect to the internet and try again.
Proxy servers and perimeter firewalls can block or prevent communication with the URLs which are used by SEP SBE for installation and activation of clients. This can cause a variety of errors or symptoms during and after installation.
Test connectivity with install and activation URLs
On the affected endpoint computer(s), test the following URLs in a web browser to confirm that they are accessible. Each URL will display a different message or error, which may vary depending on the web browser.
If the URL produces an error message that matches the example, this indicates that the client has access to that resource. Therefore, you can test the next URL.
