How to configure CCS Reporting & Analytics console to automatically recognize the csv file exported from RMS for the asset import.
1) Open RMS Console and click on new query. 2) Expand bv-Control for Windows and select Machines data source. 3) Delete Machine Name (Pre-Windows 2000) from the selected fields option in the "Field Specification" tab. 4) Select Domain/Workgroup Names and click on "Field Details" tab.Change the title to Wnt.Machine.DomainWorkgroupName. 5) In the filter field names, type in "Host Name" and add "Host Name (DNS)". 6) Select the added "Host Name (DNS)" from the selected fields and click on "Field Details" tab.Change the tiltle to Wnt.Machine.HostName. 7) Repeat the step 6 for the following, a) OSMajorVersionNumber to Wnt.Machine.OSMajorVersionNumber b) OSMinorVersionNumber to Wnt.Machine.OSMinorVersionNumbe c) OS Type to Wnt.Machine.OSVersionType d) Machine Is Server? to Wnt.Machine.Server e) Machine is BDC to Wnt.Machine.BDC f) Machine is PDC to "Wnt.Machine.PDC g) Member of Domain? to Wnt.Machine.HostMachineInDomain h) Host name (DNS) to Wnt.Machine.HostNameDNS i) TCP/IP addresses to Wnt.Machine.TCPIPAddresses 8) Click on scope tab and scope it down accordingly. 9) Run the query and export the results in a CSV format on a shared folder. 10) Open CCS console and create an asset import job using CSV data collector. 11) Open the asset system to check the imported asset.
