Can DLP detect on uni-directional traffic?

Issue/Introduction
We have Uni-Directional traffic. Is it possible to monitor the traffic if we do not have both sides?
Resolution
Many protocols require both directions of traffic, such as FTP. Other protocols may need both directions for context, such as IM.
Protocols such as SMTP or HTTP will work, but we will only detect on the traffic coming to the Monitor.
If you are unsure of the traffic, bring up a capture in Wireshark. This will give you the ability to see what protocols are available.
