If there are excessive File Reader restarts happening on a Detection Server and we find the following in the hs_err_pid log files 

# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:

#  EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x000007fef6a21983, pid=1104, tid=5568

its recommended to exclude DLP from DEP.

The files needed to be excluded are every file under C:\Program Files\Symantec\DataLossPrevention\<DLP Compnent)\15.8.00000\Protect\bin directory eg. VontuMonitor.exe file.
