Issue/Introduction
Can we scan an encrypted Database using a Network Discover scan?
Resolution
There are two distinct scenarios:
1) The DB encrypts the data files, but stored content is accessing the unencrypted data. In this scenario, the encryption is transparent to the calling JDBC client and thus we can scan the database content.
2) The data is stored in an encrypted manner, thus retrieving the data would result in retrieving the encrypted data. We can not scan the DB content.
