Instructions on how to encrypt the password in the discover scanner's configuration file.

You can encrypt the password in the scanner configuration files using the utility EncryptPassword.exe in the \Program Files\Symantec\DataLossPrevention\DetectionServer\15.8.00000\Protect\Scanners\WebServerScanner\bin directory of the scanner installation.  This utility encrypts the password provided in the scanner configuration files.

Steps to follow:

1. Run the EncryptPassword.exe utility.
2. When you get the password prompt, enter the desired password, then click the Encrypt button.
3. Place the encrypted password into the Password= setting in the SymantecWebServerScanner.cfg file.

An encrypted password will then be passed instead of the non-encrypted one.
