In the Oracle database, there is a role that all users belong to called "PUBLIC". Any privileges granted to the PUBLIC role are granted to all database accounts. This can be an enormous security hole.
Symantec DLP does not grant anything to PUBLIC. The application user account, "protect", is the schema owner, and no other user grants are created or condoned.
NOTE: Be aware that although "protect" is the default user account, it is configurable during the install and may have been changed.
