Issue/Introduction

While configuring the Oracle Database settings for the first time, in the last step the error ORA-00401:Unable to install database template appears after clicking on Create Database.

Environment

Initial installation of the Database for DLP

Cause

Version of Oracle software is incorrect for the version of DLP that is being installed. Can also be caused by "Compatible" parameter set to an invalid value.

Resolution

Validate version of DLP Software is being installed onto correct version of Oracle software. If version of Oracle being installed is incorrect for version of DLP Software then it will result in this error. 

Verify that the version of "Compatible" is set to correct and valid value.

 

 

Additional Information

Example: if Oracle 11.2.0.1 is being installed for DLP 11.5 then it will give this error as for 11.5 Oracle version should be 11.2.0.2
