Contacts don't sync from device to Outlook in TouchDown for Android
Let's try a test message:
Create a test contact.
Enter something into the notes field.
When you are done, finish the contact edit, then return to the home screen with the icons at the bottom.
Tap Menu, Sync.
Does the progress bar read that changes are being synced to the server? If so, do you now see the updated test contact in Outlook? If so, then please keep in mind that you may have "defer server updates" selected in TouchDown advanced settings. Please refer to our User's Guide to read more about deferring server updates.
In some cases, the folder will need to be unselected/reselected in Choose Folders to do a hard refresh.
To access Advanced Settings,
Open TouchDown. The Main screen displayed.
Tap Menu button and select Settings.
Tap the Advanced Settings tab.
Tap Choose Folders and deselect the Contacts folder.
Save changes, then go back and re-select the folder for sync.
Return to the TouchDown home screen and press menu, sync.
If this does not resolve the problem, please read on:
There is an issue where you may have two contact folders on the server, but the correct folder is not yet selected for sync on the device. Please verify in Choose Folders that you have the correct folder (for example: Work Contacts as opposed to Contacts, or Contact1 instead of Contacts) selected.
