KNOWN ISSUE: After upgrading or installing SMP 7.5 SP1 CPU goes to 100%

100% CPU usage on SMP after upgrading to 7.5 SP1. Potenitally high Domain Controler (DC) CPU. Some agents get large policy files. 100% processor utilization on NS after upgrade to 7.5 SP1.
Sustained 100% CPU. Usually under the Symantec Agent AppPool.
Client Policy creation is slow and generated policy may be around 10x the size of policy prior to SP1.
New singleton setting in coresettings and associated code changes.
This issue has been addressed with ITMS 7.5 SP1 HF1 release. See DOC7555
HOW TO INSTALL THIS POINTFIX
Increase Core Setting "ClientPolicyCacheMaxSize" to be 20000 (from default 2000) on systems with large amount of policies
Go to System Drive\ProgramData\Symantec\SMP\Settings\CoreSettings.config
Find key <customSetting key="ClientPolicyCacheMaxSize" (default value is 2000)
Change the settings to: type="local" value="20000"
If this key does not exist, it needs to be added:<customSetting key="ClientPolicyCacheMaxSize" type="local" value="20000" />
2. Log in as administrator
3. Retrive files from the archive to the NS hard drive.
4. Click on PFinstaller.exe
HOW TO UNINSTALL THIS POINTFIX
Log in as administrator
Retrieve files from the archive to the NS hard drive.
Click on PFinstaller.exe
Click uninstall files button
There was a new core setting created called
SingletonPolicyRequest, this needs to be set to
1. Please validate that this is set to 1 as there was a brief period where some were recommending that this be set to 0.
