• The route taken
• The sender
• The intended recipient
• Dates and times
• Spam scores

This guide explains how to access email headers for the following email clients:

Office 365 / Outlook Web Access (OWA) / Exchange 2016

1. In Outlook Web Access or Exchange 2016, in the email for which you want to view headers, click the down arrow.
   This icon is located next to Reply or Reply all in the upper-right corner.
2. Click View message details.
3. Review the email header information that appears.

Exchange 2013

1. In Exchange 2013, in the email for which you want to view headers, click the ellipsis (...) icon.
   This icon is located next to REPLY, REPLY ALL, or FORWARD in the upper-right corner.
2. Click View message details.
3. Review the email header information that appears.

Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010

1. In Exchange 2013, in the email for which you want to view headers, click the Message Details icon.
2. Review the email header information that appears.

Gmail/Google Mail

1. In Gmail, in the email for which you want to view headers, next to Reply, click the down-facing triangle or arrow.
2. Click Show original.
3. Review the email header information that appears.

Outlook.com

1. In Outlook.com, in the email for which you want to view headers, click Actions.
2. Click View message source.
3. Review the email header information that appears.

Outlook 2016, 2013, or 2010

1. In Outlook, in the email for which you want to view headers, click the File tab.
2. In the Info pane, click Properties.
3. In the Internet headers box, review the email header information that appears.

Alternative method

1. In Outlook, in the email for which you want to view headers, click the Message tab.
2. In the Tags group, click the small dialog box launcher icon (down arrow in the lower right corner). The Message Options dialog box appears.
