Symantec Protection for SharePoint Servers (SPSS) has been identified as performing operations that are outside the latest official Microsoft policy concerning how 3^rd party applications are permitted to interact with Microsoft SharePoint as explained in Microsoft Article ID: 841057 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841057).  Symantec and Microsoft are working together to ensure that its future behavior conforms to this policy.

While this engineering effort is underway, Symantec will provide Full Support for SharePoint cases caused by the nonconforming behavior of Symantec Protection for SharePoint Servers.  Symantec will be the single point of contact for customers and their support issues will be managed by Symantec Technical Support.
