You are using the Schemus LDAP Synchronization Tool and are receiving the error 'Malformed reply from Socks Server error'.

Create a file named startup.properties and add the following lines to it:

 java.net.useSystemProxies=false
 com.metanate.schemus.regex.sunjdk=false

Once created this file should be placed in the following location and then Schemus can be restarted.

Windows XP & Server 2003:
C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSchemusapplicationsettings

Windows 7, 8, Vista & Server 2008, 2012:
C:\programdata\Schemus\application\settings
