Client updates take a certain time and cannot be pushed from the server to clients.
With the current design of the Symantec Encryption Management Server the client contacts the server after a configurable interval to update the policy. It is not possible to manually push a policy from the server to all clients in a given group.

The following workarounds can be used:
The policy can be manually updated by the end user with a right click on PGPtray and selecting "Update Policy".
On the server the interval for clients to request a policy update can be configured in the consumer policy under "Symantec Encryption Desktop" - "Desktop" - "Download policy updates from Symantec Encryption Server every". Per default the value is every 24 hours.
