The resource association diagram on the Resource Association Diagram page is not displayed in IE 11 on Windows 2012 R2
Last Updated March 02, 2015
When we try to open the Resource Association Diagram for a resource e.g. computer. The page opens but the diagram is not displayed. IE gives a pop up to install Adobe Flash Player 12 and downloads it. But the installation fails with a notification that the latest Flash player is already present.
Note: Resource Association Diagram is displayed correctly in IE11 launched on Win 2008R2.
There is no error message, however the section where diagram is supposed to be displayed appears blank.
KNOWN ISSUE, reported to Engineering.
This is a known issue and Symantec team is working
Adobe flash player is preinstalled in Windows 2012 R2. It is necessary to install the feature User Interfaces and infrastructure\Desktop experience. After that install all updates using Windows update. Maybe only flash player update is necessary, but I installed all of them.
Then shockwave player should be then enabled using IE settins\Manage add ons and ActiveX filtering should be switched off. (There is a page describing enabling flash player for Windows 8 on Adobe site).
After that the control should start working. Only with the small problem - diagram appears just after you click on the area where it should be.
Note, the correct variable name you can render from the server side. Maybe you can add this code into RADDiagramControl.RenderEndTag(). To testr I added it into the very end of the page script just after setHeightWidth();
