Issue/Introduction

After importing settings from Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange (SMSMSE) version 7.5.0 into version SMSMSE 7.5.1, multiple Premium AntiSpam settings cannot be changed.

Cause

The formatting of the settings file of 7.5.0 is incompatible with 7.5.1 in the Premium AntiSpam section of the SMSMSE console.

Resolution

Run the attached script to fix the settings:
  1. Download the attached zip file "Fix Premium Antispam Settings.zip"
  2. Unzip the package.
  3. Close the SMSMSE console.
  4. Open a command prompt (Start -> Run, CMD).
  5. Navigate to the location of the unzipped script (cd <filepath>.
  6. Run the script by typing BmiConfigUpdater.exe and pressing Enter.

After running this script, Premium AntiSpam settings should be able to change as expected in the SMSMSE console.
