Endpoint Protection clients on Linux do not update content

You notice that managed Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) clients on Linux computers do not update their content through scheduled LiveUpdate. If you manually launch LiveUpdate, content downloads as expected. Troubleshooting on the client computer reveals that the LiveUpdate administrator schedule is disabled.
No errors are recorded in the logs.
Enable LiveUpdate Scheduling in the LiveUpdate Settings Policy for Linux is unchecked.
Check the box in the LiveUpdate Settings policy to enable LiveUpdate scheduling.
To enable LiveUpdate Scheduling:
Within Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM), click Policies > LiveUpdate.
Double-click the LiveUpdate Settings policy that applies to Linux clients.
Under Linux Settings, click Schedule, and then check Enable LiveUpdate Scheduling.
Click OK to save the change to the policy.
Once the clients check in with SEPM and receive the updated policy, the LiveUpdate schedule should appear enabled.
On the client computer, you can verify the state of the LiveUpdate schedule using Terminal by entering the following command from within the SEP installation directory:
sudo ./sav liveupdate -v
By default, the directory is /opt/Symantec/Symantec_antivirus (which is case-sensitive).
