Customer states the end user will open the Symantec Management Agent GUI, to review installed software. When doing so, the Symantec Management Agent will crash.
Customer is checking with Arellia to see if any of the error/warnings from the logs referencing Arellia are of any concern.
In the meantime, need development to review dump file to determine root cause of crash.
Agent logs and crash dump file have been provided to Development for review.
I only see one error related directly to Symantec, the rest seem to be Arellia.
The error that catches my eye is this one:
Received a result for an unknown task instance guid: <various Guids>. Aborting job!
I found something about this error in eTrack but it was found on the 7.5 product.
Customer is currently on ITMS 7.1 SP2 MP1 v11.

The crash dump file shows: The assembly instruction at AMAgent!DllUnregisterServer+70e77 in C:\Program Files (x86)\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents\Application Metering Agent\AMAgent.dll from Altiris Inc has caused a stack overflow exception (0xC00000FD) when trying to read from memory location 0x02022000 on thread 8
None at this time.
This has been referred to our Developers for review.
