The customer has reported and I have duplicated the following issue with the Software Portal:
1. Both the SMP server and the client are in the same time zone. 2. On the SMP server publish a software resource to the Software Portal. 3. On a client open the SW Portal and request that software. 4. Note that in the "Request Confirmation" window the time in the "Date required" field is an hour ahead of the client time. 5. You can either leave that time as is or modify it by setting the hour back to the client local time. 6. Click OK. 7. In the SW Portal window, in the "Request status" section note that the "Last Modified" time is an hour ahead of the client local time. This is true whether or not you modified the "Date required" time in the "Request Confirmation" window as stated in step 5. 8. Wait for five minutes and the software will install as expected. So the Software Portal is displaying the wrong time but the software installs as expected, five minutes after the request is made.
No error or warning messages on the screen or in the logs.
The returned value is not a constant, because of the practice of using Daylight Saving Time.
This has been fixed in 7.6 HF4.
