Issue/Introduction

When attempting to run any of the update commands ("update list", "update download", "update install") via the Symantec Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) or Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) command line, the error listed below is returned.

Cause

The currently installed license file is no longer valid, or the cert.pem file has become invalidated or corrupted.

Resolution

Verify that the ATP or EDR appliance has a current valid license installed.

If the current license status shows Valid, upload the license file again to refresh the certificate.

If it still fails, contact Broadcom Technical support and provide this article as a reference for further help.
