Exporting results in Excel at the end of a query fails with one of the following messages:
On 64 bit operating systems the DCOMCNFG launches as 64 bit. However, it needs to run under 32bit. This is done by running the command “mmc comexp.msc /32”.
Fix: To resolve the issue, you must do the following:
Run the command “mmc comexp.msc /32”.
For exporting to .doc format, right-click Microsoft Office Word 97 - 2003 Document, or for exporting to .xls format, right-click Microsoft Excel Application, and then click Properties.
On the Identity tab, select one of the following: Symantec recommends to select This user. For This user you must specify the login credentials of the CCS Application Server service. ¦ If you want to select The interactive user, then ensure that User Account Control (UAC) is disabled on the CCS Application Server computer.
