Setting the log levels in Administration>Logs->Remote had no effect unless log levels were also changed in the Local tab.
This was an issue that arose from the migration to rsyslog as the remote logging utility
This issue has been resolved in all SMG releases.
This issue arose during development of the SMG 10.6 release and was addressed during the development cycle. Originally it wasn't clear whether the issue would be resolved by product release and so was included in the product release notes with an associated knowledge base entry. This issue was subsequently resolved prior to release of Messaging Gateway 10.6 and so does not appear in any Messaging Gateway release in the field.
