After Network discovery and inventory tasks, "SNMP HP Printer" data class may appear in Resource Manager as follows:
1. Some SNMP string values are stored in the database and shown in hexadecimal format.
2. SNMP output from device is showing that the values which are converted to hexadecimal format are having non-standard characters in their prefixes. Characters have Hex codes 0x01 and 0x15
Example is showing how that looks if open SNMP output using Notepad++:
Network Discovery converts such strings into hex-format, e.g we have '01154850204C617365724A6574205034353135' instead of 'SOHNAKHP LaserJet P4515'.
NSE with Inventory is already formatted and just storing what it has
<row c0="0115434235313641" c1="01154850204C617365724A6574205034353135" c4="0115535150332F313474682F53" c5="011534393532" c6="330193" c7="0" />
This is how it looks in Resource Manager
Symantec is aware of this issue and prepared a pointfix which was built to be applicable for 7.6HF1 - 7.6HF5.
