Within the Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) 2.0 Manager, the Symantec Endpoint Portection Manager (SEPM) connection fails when using a SEPM administrator account with Active Directory (AD) authentication to create a SEPM controller connection in ATP.
A SEPM administrator account specifies using AD for authentication
When connecting directly to the SEPM with AD credentials, the connection succeeds
Workaround: Within SEPM, do not specify Active Directory as the authentication mechanism for SEPM administrator accounts that you intent to use later when creating a SEPM controller connection within ATP.
