The Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition cloud (SEP SBE cloud) agent fails to install at the beginning of an installation
Please check that you have an internet connection. You may also need to adjust your firewall and proxy settings.
The installation fails due to the installation package not being able to validate against required cloud URLs
Local settings to check
Browse to the connections tab of Internet Explorer and verify proxy information under LAN settings. If a proxy is not in use then nothing should be entered or checked. If a proxy is in use, verify the information is entered correctly.
The Endpoint installer has proxy settings under that can be configured during the installation. Verify the settings in there match the setting in Internet explorer
Environmental settings to check
If a perimeter firewall or proxy is in use the required URLs will need to be white-listed.
